La Pietra Antica O’ Munti

Located in the small village of Puntalazzo, in the province of Catania, on the slopes of Etna, the farmhouse La pietra antica O’ munti represents the revival of a symbol of this territory: an ancient millstone from the 1800s expertly renovated and restored to collect the ancient traditions and propose them today in recovered and transformed environments but with profound respect for the original historical structure, enhancing the internal and external spaces where to welcome guests, lovers of rural tourism and tranquility, nature, landscapes and the authentic flavors of Sicily . Inside this ancient millstone revives the peasant civilization of the past also thanks to the creation of a museum of peasant civilization as a historical testimony for future generations. The entire recovery and restoration work of the ancient millstone has also obtained recognition from the FICLU (Italian Federation of Clubs for UNESCO).
